INTRODUCTION: Identification of Coordination Requirements: Implications for the design of collaboration and awareness tools

Global software development has many advantages like exposure to multi talented people, cost saving, merger, market on demand. 
But it also has some challenges like the communication , coordination , lack of trust and task allocation problem.
To overcome problems like communication and coordination , there has to be methods which monitor them periodically so that the project can be successfully completed without any confusion or clashes. The main factors that result poor coordination and communication between geographically located sites are the cultural differences. lack of common processes , lack of common and reliable communication tools and changes in architecture made at different sites and which are not communicated well between sites and many more.
There are methods that can monitor the coordination between people performing tasks at various intervals.These methods can be used to design tools for collaboration and awareness tools.
